Soccer Legends wins legendary ISR DSC 2023

New Delhi (India), September 9: What a thrilling and amazing event it was! The ISR DaVinci Soccer Bot Championship (DSC) was a showcase of creativity, innovation and teamwork, as students in Rajasthan competed with their own robots in a soccer tournament. Yes, you read that right: robots playing soccer!

This was made possible by the collaboration between International STEAM Research (ISR), the best STEAM education company in India, and Our Lady Of Pillar Convent School, Jodhpur, which provided the students with an opportunity to learn and apply the 21st Century 4C skills: critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity. Using futuristic technologies and guided by STEAM experts, the students designed, built and coded their own soccer bots, which they then competed with on the field.

The excitement was intense as 12 teams battled it out for the trophy, displaying their skills and strategies not only in soccer, but also in robotics and coding. The spectators were treated to a spectacle of goals, saves, passes and tackles, all performed by the amazing soccer bots. As one of them remarked, “I wouldn’t have imagined, what I have witnessed here, even 5 years ago”.

The competition was fierce, but also friendly and fair. All the teams showed great sportsmanship and respect for each other. In the end, the team named ‘Soccer Legends’ emerged as the champions, followed by ‘Daikin Chargers’ as the runners-up. The third and fourth places went to ‘Big Leagues’ and  ‘The Super Bot’ respectively. However, every student who participated in the event was a winner in their own right, as they learned valuable skills and had fun along the way.

The ISR DaVinci Soccer Bot Championship was a successful and memorable event that demonstrated how STEAM education can inspire and empower students to become mindful problem-solvers and future-ready innovators. “I congratulate all the participants and organizers for putting up such a wonderful and innovative event” said Sr. Pratibha Solanki, Principal – Our Lady Of Pillar Convent School.
