This year IMD will be observed in 93 nations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe International Men\u2019s Day has also created and supported initiatives which improve the manner in which the world addresses and resolves their unique mental and physical health issues for men and boys\u201d, Dr Jerome Teelucksingh, Founder, International Men\u2019s Day<\/p>\n<p>The day 19 November 2023, is to encourage institutions, organizations, and individuals to identify the causes for male suicide and try to find solutions to create a protective environment for men in all nations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA safe environment is essential for nurturing, growth and development of men\u201d, Vivek Singh founder of NewsOfX.<\/p>\n<p>According to National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), the trend of suicide among men are growing year-on-year. India has recorded highest suicide (51,477) in year 2020 due to \u201cFamily Problem\u201d, where 35333 were male and 16140 were female.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to family problems, the suicide rate in men is twice that of women\u201d, by Men\u2019s and Child rights activist Kumar S Ratan<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernment need to focus on Men\u2019s mental health and awareness\u201d, by Founder of MenTalks Advocate Roopanshu Pratap Singh<\/p>\n<p>International Men\u2019s Day celebrates and honours the contributions and sacrifices of men \u2014 \u201ceveryday men\u201d.
